Choose a Nickel Foam Form
- Nickel foam sheets: start with PPI, thickness, areal mass and length × width.
- Custom-shaped nickel foam: send a drawing for discs, outlines and cut-outs.
- Cylindrical nickel foam: specify outside diameter, axial length and any bore or wall requirement.
- Thick nickel foam: review thickness and pore structure together.
What to Include in an Inquiry
Send the material grade, PPI or pore requirement, thickness and measurement condition, dimensions or drawing, and sample or production quantity. Add the operating medium, temperature and coating or compression requirements where relevant. We confirm feasible combinations, tolerances, sample terms and lead time in the quotation.
Foam, Felt or Mesh?
Open-cell foam, nickel fiber felt and nickel mesh have different structures. Products shown in this range should not be assumed to have interchangeable pore geometry or performance. Iron-nickel foam also differs in composition from nickel foam.
Selection Questions
Does a higher PPI always mean a better product?
No. Select the pore structure for your coating, flow, compression and handling requirements. PPI is pores per inch, not a woven mesh count or a guaranteed single pore diameter.
Can I discuss a small research sample?
Yes. Send your test purpose and target specification, including any undecided parameters. Sample availability and terms are confirmed for the selected material.
